So I guess this is happening now. Any thoughts? It's nothing in my DL folder; Mootilda thinks it could possibly be related to something in Program Files related to a lighting mod, maybe, but so far no luck with figuring that out. I'm at a loss, tired and mad that I've spent another evening trying to suss out another game issue. Maybe this will just be a thing now: photo booth silhouettes? Very hip. Grrrrrr.

Interested parties may head over to my simblr to check out the (finally!) fixed-up Batavus faces. I'd say they are easily 90% less creepy than before! Bonus: you get to preview Piet's new, middle-ageish lookv (what do you think?).

Also, here's a link to the tutorial that I've used whenever I try to blend skintones/make face masks out of old skins. It's easier than you might imagine!

Last time: Piet and Jasper got married at the beach and danced by a giant bonfire; then Piet propositioned Wendy, who soon became very hungry; Jasper kept working to chip away at his (impossible!) 50 First Dates LTW; Grover grew from a cute toddler into a cute kid; no one got divorced; and two baby boys were born! Now it's springtime. Tally-ho!

Just a brief announcement to let you know my BACC should be returning before too long. I finally played through the Batavus household—whose last update is from January!!—last weekend and have well over 100 pictures waiting to go. I've been extra busy lately, and Doctor Who has been mostly winning the battle of "what do I want to do now that I have a moment?"; but I'm halfway through season 6 already, so simming may regain the advantage soon. Looking forward to sharing Ste-M with you again!

Hrmphle. I've been in a weird state the past few weeks where I do want to play the game, basically, but I don't want to physically go to my simming computer and open it up. Does that make any sense? Like, I'll read sim blogs and download things and think of stuff I'd like to do in-game for days... but then I'll get home and just never feel like starting it up. But I still want to do things! I think. More or less.

Just having some blah times, simswise, I guess. We've all been there, right?  :|

Opened up the game to play and instead started working on a fitness center, because of course I would.

It is with considerable mortification that I must report my failure to properly credit the wonderful alfredaskew in the v1.0 sclera textures I put up for download recently. A total rookie mistake—I was fussing over the psd from Knightskykyte@MTS for so long, at some point I must've absentmindedly layered in the eye set that had my favorite sclera at the time, which was made by alfredaskew, without remembering to revise the credits afterward. Gah! So v1.0 ended up being quite similar to her sclera, which you can find here and here. Mea culpa! 

I've been trying to start round 7 at long last, but I can't get the Batavus house to load. (The first row of "loading" lights goes through and then, nothing but an hourglass until I force-quit the game.) The lot folder shows me I last saved the house in June, so let's hope the problem lies in some unnecessary piece of cc I've downloaded since then... :/ Siiiiiiiigghhhhhhh. But I'm trying!

Also, weirdly, clickable neighbors isn't working? Clicking on a house just brings up the message "The ___ family lives here." then a lot of blank space but no sentence about selecting that household to play. Why, game, why?

This batch hails from the land of Peni Griffin; and since Peni very kindly gave me a little bit of their backstories, I thought I'd at least check to see if I matched up the right names to faces!

I finally managed to get back to live mode in Ste-Margo, if only for a moment! I ended up spending all my time working on a little dorm for Ste-Margo Community College, since I have several teens set to age up this round and Eustacia's been sitting all lonely by herself in the Sim Bin since she moved out. The building still needs some decorating yet, but I moved Eustacia in really quickly before any dormies could show up; so she'll have a little extra time to get herself settled!

So many cute little things (lots of stuff for the upcoming warm season in Ste-M) and almost everything is separates, which is great. Some of the textures are a touch more on the photoskin-y side than I'd like, which makes me wish I were better/quicker/more organized about doing clothing recolors (no, no, and no). But still, very cute!

I've been spending most of my free time the past weeks watching the Olympics, and the returning heat wave has sapped most of whatever energy I had left to sit in front of my simming computer. But I really, really do want to get back to playing! I mean it!! Soon, I hope!

Forget about all the game maintenance and random to-do things I've got on my list; I'm just going to play a little.

JK, just going to spend my time finishing up the beach at Twikkii-Tikki Island. I realized as I was about to exit triumphantly back to the main hood that somewhere along the line, I must've saved the hood with some cc missing or something because all of Criquette's neighborhood deco (the airport, the cruise ship, etc.) were gone. And now they won't re-place, maybe because of some terraforming I've done since, or because other deco is in the way? >:(  Grrrrr.

For those who recolor clothing: I always find myself having to redraw shadows/highlights whenever I add a pattern to an outfit, (thereby covering up whatever shading was there before) assuming I don't have the original psd to play around with and have just exported the texture from Body Shop. I kind of like doing it; but is there a better way of doing this, or is this just what people do? I am wondering!
