Round 7 (Spring): Sweet

Previously: Gemma had a surprise ACR baby; Beatrice became a teen; twin Ramona and Arlo canoodled (not with each other! ew, no!); and family sim Charlie kept his wife busy (or should I say biz-AYYYY).

Perhaps to celebrate the end of winter, Gemma shows up to breakfast in her underwear.

The girls take it in stride.

Arlo tries to pretend he's similarly fine, but truth be told, he has some serious reservations.
Arlo: My eyes...

The triple-bolters are soon back in the sack. Seriously, like rabbits, these two.

Back at home, Beatrice looks after her baby sister Marzipan.

The kid seems harmless enough most of the time, but occasionally there are flashes of Ramona. So much baby rage.

Whoa, Bea! Not sure that falls under recommended babysitting protocol...

But of course, it's just Marzipan's birthday. She's got her dad's eyes and freckly skin, but her face is rounder like her mom's. And, naturally, she gets a cupcake onesie.

Wim Batavus stops by to drop off this giant television, I think as a thank you to Ramona after their date at SMCC Field earlier in the spring. (I know he's only a few days older than Ramona... but it does make him look just a skosh creepy to be trying to mack on a high school girl now that he's in uni.)

Chartreuse is the color this season in Ste-Margo, at least among the hippest of kids.

Ramona's all, "Pssh, whatevs. I'm obviously the coolest child in this family, now and forever."

Gemma's dad Maximillian stops by for a family visit. He's anxious to spend some time with his newest grandchild.

While the rest of her family enjoys the garden, Ramona heads over to the town beach to get some alone time.

She quickly runs into her Aunt Tabby, though, who is apparently creating her own drama this evening...

Tabby! Milo! For shame! Penelope is scandalized!

And then, no, Ramona, no! Don't even think about it.

Thankfully, she soon returns home and takes up the much more wholesome activity of rocking out with her baby sister in the backyard.

The bakery keeps everyone busy, between the grocery runs and, you know, the actual baking. Gemma and the twins spend quite a lot of time in the kitchen to make sure everything stays stocked.

In fact, they end up needing to add a second cash register to keep up with the sales. It's exhausting work, with all four of them constantly on the go until they send the customers home for the night. It's only after hours that they can finally catch a little breather. Don't want to let the unsold cakes go to waste, after all!

Charlie and Gemma are already starting to wonder how they'll get along when the twins go off to college. It's part of Charlie's LTW, after all, so they'll just have to adjust somehow.

Beatrice, meanwhile, is more than halfway to achieving her LTW of having 20 simultaneous best friends. Having a big family helps...

Though it must also be said, she's an excellent conversationalist. (What do you talk to your grandfather and aunt about?)

Then one sunny day, the twins get a little funny feeling inside, and poof! Their teen years are over, and it's off to start the next stage of their lives at college. They move into the recently completed SelenaQ Hall and are (spoiler) incredibly adorable.

Life carries on for the rest of the family.

Beatrice is all, "Oh please, like you've never seen boob before."
Good point, Bea. Yves, gather yourself.

As the final days of spring fade away, the Sweet family takes it pretty easy. The bakery, social engagements, vacations*—there'll be time for all of that come summer.

*Both Charlie and Gemma have locked vacation wants, so a trip to Twikkii-Tikki Island is definitely in their future!

Oh, yeah, Ramona don't need no jive fashionable color to be cool. Ramona is cool by virtue of being RAMONA!
It's nice to see they can still talk about bathtubs.
Oooh, Twikki-Tikki...No, really, I can wait. I can.

Oh no, Peni, isn't that what you said last time, too? Why are you having so many bummer days? :( Glad the update was able to cheer you up!
I was actually a bit touched to see Gemma and Charlie reminiscing like that. Plus, it's a nice reminder of just how far my in-game picture-taking skills have come!

I forgot to say that I'm shocked - SHOCKED - at Tabby and Milo. I can see how Tabby might feel a bit lonesome but he's married and she's got his kid in her daycare! It's not as if you haven't unlocked townies. And as for him - hmph. Men!

The bakery sells a variety of custom cakes and pastries (probably mostly from MTS), plus a few wedding cakes from the catalog. It's nearly impossible to keep up with demand with actual baked-in-game goods, so I think I'll have to switch over to more purchased cakes in the future...

I like the way you've decorated the family's home. It looks well-lived-in and a bit bohemian. My favourite feature is the teapot wallpaper! :)
Ramona and Marzipan are both great-looking Sims!

Ramona was such a scary-looking toddler, so I'm pleasantly shocked at how gorgeous she grew up!

Don't worry; there's *plenty* of uni action coming soon!

The bakery looks like it's crazy business. But at least it brings good income?
Can't wait to see the adventures of the twins in university.
